Infosys, an IT major headquartered in Bengaluru, is further expanding its presence in the Nordics with the establishment of a new proximity center in Oslo, Norway. This move is part of Infosys' ongoing expansion strategy in the region.

The newly established center is expected to facilitate the attraction, re-skilling, and upskilling of local talent, enabling them to work on global opportunities using cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, and software engineering.

The Nordic region comprises five independent states - Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden - along with three autonomous territories associated with these states: the Faroe Islands and Greenland (Denmark), and Ă…land (Finland).

In recent years, Infosys has made significant investments and expanded its presence in the Nordic region through various means. This includes forming new partnerships, such as the one with Lefdal Mine Datacenter in Norway, and strategic acquisitions like Fluido in Finland and BASE Life Science in Denmark. Additionally, Infosys has opened a new proximity center in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The establishment of the new proximity center in Oslo, Norway, will further enhance Infosys' collaboration with its regional clients, including Telenor, a global telecommunications giant, and DNB ASA, the largest bank in Norway. By working closely with these organizations, Infosys aims to support the development and strengthening of next-generation solutions, as well as assist them in their digital transformation endeavors, as stated by Infosys.

The expansion reflects our dedication to providing exceptional services to our Norwegian clients and addressing their specific needs by creating advanced solutions.

By establishing the new office, our goal is to attract local talent and introduce cutting-edge technology to Norwegian companies as they embark on their digital transformation endeavors. This was expressed by Anand Swaminathan, Executive Vice President and Global Industry Leader for Communications, Media, and Technology at Infosys.

With a unique blend of local expertise and state-of-the-art technologies, we are confident that we will serve as an innovation hub, empowering clients throughout the Nordics to prepare for the future, Swaminathan further added.
