The International Cricket Council (ICC), the global governing body for cricket, has secured a roster of 20 sponsors and partners for the event.
Among these sponsors, six global partners, including MRF Tyres, Booking.com, IndusInd Bank, MasterCard, Aramco, and Emirates, are contributing between $8-10 million each to the sponsorship pool. Additionally, eight official partner brands, such as Bira91, Polycab, Thums-Up, Upstox, Nissan, Nium, Oppo, and DP World, have commitments ranging from $6-8 million each.
The sponsorship lineup also includes category partners like Royal Stag, Dream11, Jacob's Creek, Near Foundation, Fan Craze, and Tyka, with anticipated contributions in the range of $3-4 million each. It's important to note that these figures are based on insider information and have not been officially confirmed by the ICC.
In a related development, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has been appointed as the Global Ambassador for the upcoming Men's Cricket World Cup 2023. Tendulkar, widely regarded as the 'God of Cricket,' expressed his hope that the tournament would inspire young athletes to pursue sports and represent their countries at the highest level.
