After Elon Musk's commitment to transform X (formerly Twitter) into a more appealing job-searching platform akin to LinkedIn, the feature has now been launched for web users. The platform is taking strides to evolve into an "everything app," aligning with Musk's vision. In the initial stage of the job search feature, users can apply filters such as "keyword" for job roles or companies and "location" for preferred geographical locations.

To explore job opportunities on X, users can visit its job portal, enter desired keywords and locations, and view a list of job listings similar to LinkedIn. The listings provide details on job roles, responsibilities, and brief company overviews. If interested, users can click on "Apply Now," redirecting them to the official job listing on the company's website for further application procedures.

Additionally, job cards will be visible on the official profiles of companies on X and can be easily shared on the platform. X has recently updated its privacy policy, indicating the collection of data related to users' employment history, preferences, skills, abilities, and job search activities for job applications and recommendations.

While the job search portal is currently accessible for web users, X plans to extend its availability to iOS and Android devices soon. Beyond text-based direct messaging, Musk has hinted at additional features for one-on-one communication, including audio or video options. Recently, Musk expressed his desire for X to function as a dating app, competing with platforms like Tinder and Bumble. X has been expanding its offerings, incorporating long-form videos to challenge platforms like YouTube.

Despite the ambition to become an "everything app," the challenges lie in competing with established platforms in various domains that already boast a significant consumer base.
