Market Titans Gain Big as Equities Shine

Mumbai, June 22 – A strong week for Indian equities translated into massive market capitalization gains for six of the top-10 most-valued companies, with Bharti Airtel and Reliance Industries emerging as the biggest contributors. The BSE Sensex surged 1,289.57 points (1.58%) during the week, reinforcing bullish sentiment across large caps.

The combined valuation increase for the six gainers amounted to ₹1,62,288.06 crore, reflecting the broader rally and investor optimism despite ongoing global uncertainties.

Biggest Gainers

Bharti Airtel saw its mcap soar by ₹54,055.96 crore to ₹11.04 trillion

Reliance Industries added ₹50,070.14 crore, now valued at ₹19.82 trillion

HDFC Bank jumped ₹38,503.91 crore to ₹15.07 trillion

Infosys, ICICI Bank, and State Bank of India also posted solid gains

These companies benefited from strong institutional buying and positive sectoral trends, particularly in telecom, banking, and tech.

Notable Losers

However, the rally was not universal. Four key players witnessed valuation declines:

Bajaj Finance dropped the most, losing ₹17,876.42 crore

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) declined by ₹4,613.06 crore

Hindustan Unilever and LIC also posted mild valuation losses

These declines were largely attributed to sector-specific pressures and profit-booking.
