Tang joined Google in 2021, fulfilling a lifelong dream of making his parents proud while achieving financial independence. “I remember bringing my parents to the office and feeling like we'd achieved the American dream,” he recalled. Yet, over time, the glamour wore off. Working on B2B ad products, he admitted, felt unfulfilling despite contributing to Google’s massive revenue.
