While presently in a limited testing phase, Mark Zuckerberg, Meta's CEO, has assured that it will soon become available to all users.
Instagram is poised to introduce a novel capability, enabling users to craft polls within the comments of their posts. Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, disclosed this development, noting that the feature is presently undergoing testing and will soon be accessible to all users.
This new feature has been developed to offer creators an additional means of engaging with their audience. Polls can now be incorporated into both standard feed posts and Reels. Despite its current limited testing phase, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, has affirmed its forthcoming availability to all users.
These polls in the comments section will bear a resemblance to those found in Stories, where they have been accessible as stickers for several years. As per a screenshot shared by Mosseri, users will be able to view the number of participants in a specific poll. Nevertheless, it remains uncertain how long these polls will remain open after being posted or whether users will have the option to set different time frames for gathering votes.
Instagram's recent efforts have been geared towards enhancing the interactivity of its comment section. In a development earlier this year, it introduced the capability for users to insert GIFs in their comments. Additionally, the platform is currently exploring ways to provide a more tailored Stories experience, enabling users to craft multiple lists and share specific content with designated groups of individuals.
The Latest WhatsApp Feature: Multiple Accounts
WhatsApp has officially introduced its new Multiple Accounts feature for Android users. This feature now permits users to access two distinct WhatsApp accounts on a single device. Previously, the company only supported a single account. Nevertheless, some Android devices offer the capability to create a duplicate of the same app, enabling users to have two separate WhatsApp applications on a single smartphone.
