2024 Interim Budget: Preview of "Viksit Bharat" vision with key tax proposals.

In the interim Budget, the finance minister laid out a vision for achieving "Viksit Bharat by 2047" based on the foundational principles of 'Sabka Saath', 'Sabka Vikas', and 'Sabka Vishwas', with the addition of 'Sabka Prayas' as a new theme.

Authored by Ravi Jain, the finance minister laid the foundation for achieving "Viksit Bharat by 2047", emphasizing the fundamental principles of 'Sabka Saath', 'Sabka Vikas', 'Sabka Vishwas', and introducing 'Sabka Prayas' in the interim Budget. This Budget introduced four key strategic areas acronymed as GYAN: G for Garib Kalyan, Y for Youth empowerment, A for Anna-data (farmer welfare), and N for Nari utthan (support for women entrepreneurs).

These pillars constitute a holistic approach to inclusive development. The government's dedication to sustainable growth, as outlined in the Amrit Kaal strategy, involves targets such as achieving 'Net Zero' emissions by 2070, implementing rooftop solarization for one crore households, and bolstering health initiatives. The Indian economy's resilience is underscored by encouraging signs such as a decreasing current account deficit as a percentage of GDP, declining unemployment rates, and a significant uptick in digital transactions. These figures validate the economy's strength, highlighting a path of sustained growth and stability.
