The Indian stock market began Wednesday’s session on a positive note, buoyed by global market firmness and upbeat sentiment surrounding Q1FY26 earnings. The BSE Sensex rose 217 points to 82,403, while the Nifty50 gained 63 points, trading at 25,124.
Tata Motors, Bajaj Finance, Maruti Suzuki, and M&M led the rally on the Sensex, supported by other blue-chips like Adani Ports, Infosys, NTPC, and Reliance Industries. However, selling pressure in select FMCG and realty stocks capped gains.
